I was fortunate to have MSNBC and TodayMoms site share my blog.... www.reddyefree.blogspot.com. I have always been anonymous, or so I thought, but they managed to contact me. I am grateful to share this important information with others since it made a huge difference in my life and my childrens'.

If you click on the link, you will also be able to view a very good video on this issue. There is a child in this video who had trouble with his handwriting. Occupational therapists would have probably labeled him as having dysgraphia (a problem with motor coordination skills). After removing the harmful dyes in his food, his handwriting improved dramatically. My son had the same problem with the dyes, along with behavioral problems from consumption of these dyes. My son's handwriting is beautiful now and has no major behavioral issues to speak of as well.
This blog is to advocate for children who seem to have behavior problems, but are really reacting to the artificial dyes found in foods and medicines. It is to help others to be more aware of how food affects your mood. Children and adults can suddenly become irritable, have headaches, and even become angry or aggressive after ingesting synthetic artificial dyes. I recommend avoiding all artificial colors. This blog was created to help you find the information you need.

I have just found your blog. Thank you so much for having a blog about food dyes. My daughter turns into a totally different child when she has any. My husband has the same problem. It is so nice to find a place that I can get information. So many folks just do not understand.
ReplyDeleteThanks Rochelle! I just took a peak at your blog this morning. I think your blog has a lot of fun and informative things to read! Thank you for leaving a comment... every comment opens the conversation up to other parents who have the same problem. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat blog! We have been trying to keep my daughter free from food coloring ever since we saw this Today Show piece. She has had problems with her handwriting, but has shown marked improvement since she has been off of the dyes. Thank you for spreading the word!
